About Us

Our Purpse

The purpose of dib studio (the architectural design studio for Newlight Developments LLC) is to create a better built environment through evolved Business, Ethical, and Human practices.  We are your one point of contact when you think of building projects, and we are devoted to developing a relationship based on trust for a lifetime of collaboration.

There is inherent waste in the fee structure of the traditional development project due to the separation of the disciplines involved.  There is redundancy in the communication between the client and the individual professionals, as well as overlapping efforts between the professionals themselves. Managing all the disciplines related to the built environment under one cohesive effort means less waste, and less waste means smaller fees, and the ability to afford the necessary disciplines for a successful building project without cutting corners.

Our Business

We are an investment and concept development firm offering full services in Real Estate, Architecture, Construction Management, and Sustainability. Our approach is not to pursue individual projects, but to create partnerships with our clients, providing smart solutions that support their lifestyle, business structure and financial goals.

Newlight Developments is a client-based firm—not a project-based firm.  We operate under the philosophy that if our clients are successful investors we will be successful as well.  All development opportunities initiated and controlled by Newlight Developments are offered to our clients first, and to the general public second.

Our Ethics

We operate under the assumption that it is always more profitable to do the right thing.  Beneath any endeavor of Newlight Developments (internal or external), there must be the foundational goals of Environmental Sustainability, Financial Feasibility and Profitability, Construction Quality Control, Human Health and Comfort, and Community Development.

In this way we can gauge success in its true sense: not by monetary profit generated but by progress and the amount of total good accomplished in each endeavor.
